Schnupperstudium
Would you like to find out what it means to study Computer Science at ETH Zurich? Would you like to learn more about student life, the first year, and the various fields of computer science? Are you a woman* who is interested in the experiences and insights of more senior female students? Then our Schnupperstudium is just the right thing for you!

You will also get to meet other women interested in studying in a relaxed atmosphere and start making your first connections at the Department of Computer Science. We look forward to seeing you!
This program takes place each year in Spring and is open to women interested in studying, regardless of age.
Schnuppertag
Would you like to experience first-hand what it means to study Computer Science at ETH Zurich? Would you like to learn more about the concrete day-to-day student life and the experiences of more senior students? Are you looking for a flexible date and personal guidance? Then our Schnuppertag is just the right thing for you!
As part of a Schnuppertag, you will have the opportunity to shadow a Computer Science student for a full day. Together you will attend lectures and exercise sessions, and over a shared lunch there will be plenty of time for questions. Afterwards, there will also be a short campus tour.
You can find the general program and registration here. As a woman*, you have the option to specifically request a CSNOW companion, to ensure you are paired with a female student and to be able to ask your questions about studying Computer Science as a woman. To do so, follow the instructions in the registration form. This program is open to all age groups.
Please note that we can only offer the Schnuppertag during the semester period (approx. September–December, February–May).
Schnupperprojekt
Would you like to gain your first experience in programming? Would you like to learn what it means to develop a small project as a team? Have you always wanted to know what the term "hackathon" means? Then our Schnupperprojekt is just the right thing for you!
Through a beginner-friendly video workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn the first programming basics step by step. This content serves as the starting point for our hackathon, where you will develop your own app in small groups — from a new mobile game to a flashcard app to an escape room, there are no limits to your imagination and creativity. A team of our teaching assistants will always be on-site to support you with advice and assistance. Delicious lunch and small prizes are of course also taken care of.
Our Schnupperprojekt takes place every autumn (October/November) and is aimed primarily at female cantonal school students in their final years or shortly after graduation (approx. 15–20 years old). However, the video workshop is open to everyone who is interested at any time. Check out our website for more information about the workshop.
