Introduce yourself!
Hii! I’m Alessandra, originally from the Zurich area, and I’m currently in the third semester of my Bachelors in Computer Science.

Besides studying, one can find you...
..either at a dance class in ASVZ or chatting for hours with my friends in a cute café or park in Zurich. I also love reading fiction, as well as doing creative projects such as crocheting my own clothes and accessories:)

How long have you been at CSNOW?
I joined CSNOW in the fall semester of 2025.

What do you like about working at CSNOW?
I love being able to actively take part in motivating more women* to study computer science, helping everybody feel more comfortable in the department, and overall supporting women* in our field of study. I also really enjoy organizing events with the team, and find it very inspiring to work together with so many smart and cool women in CS.

What is your favourite song or movie and why?
My favorite movie is Little Women (the 2019 version by Greta Gerwig), for many reasons! I love how multidimensional and complex the four March sisters and their relationships with each other, as well as their unique struggles and experiences are depicted. I think that the movie in a way captures the essence of the young (female) coming-of-age perspective in a timeless way, and can be relatable to many people watching it (including myself).
