Introduce yourself!
Hi everyone! My name is Cara and I am currently in the last year of my CS Bachelor. I am originally from Germany and moved to Zurich about 2.5 years ago to start my studies at ETH. 

Besides studying, one can find you...
When I am not studying, you can probably find me in some ASVZ course because I love moving and trying new things (my favorite course is Super Kondi in case you want to join) or you will find me in my kitchen creating some very improvised recipes.

How long have you been at CSNOW?
I have been at CSNOW since December 2024 and, in 2023, I took part in the CSNOW Schnupperstudium which convinced me to study Computer Science and join the team later :)

What do you like about working at CSNOW?
What I like about working at CSNOW is the great community. When I first came to ETH, I did not know anyone and the courses felt overwhelming, but the CSNOW events helped me connect with others, especially other women, so that I quickly found a supportive network that helps me master my studies. My favorite part about organizing such events now myself is talking to others and always meeting new people from such diverse and inspiring backgrounds. Also the team is just great and full of creative ideas and I love working with them, it just never gets boring!

What is your favourite song or movie and why?
My favorite movie probably is “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone“ because I loved it so much when I was a child and it still gives me comfort watching it today. It reminds me to look for the magic in life and to value friendship and perseverance and there cannot be a rainy autumn week without at least one of the Harry Potter movies (though the first one is my favorite because everyone is still so young and light-hearted).
